Website visits and hosting

This static website is hosted by Vercel. Whenever you access it, the hosting provider processes technical access data, in particular your IP address, the time of access, the page requested and technical browser information. This enables delivery, stability and security of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Technical logs are retained only for as long as necessary for operation, troubleshooting and security; the exact period depends on the configuration and hosting plan. You can find information about the provider in Vercel's privacy notice.

Enquiries and bookings

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the contact details, travel dates, occupancy preferences and message you provide in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, arrange an offer or booking. The legal basis is taking steps before entering into a contract or performing a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We fulfil legal obligations, such as guest registration and tax and commercial retention duties, under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

When you submit the enquiry form, your details are sent in encrypted form to GuestFlow (Out of the Box Media), stored there to process your enquiry and forwarded to the relevant Garber mailbox. Hotel enquiries go to info@garber.it, apartment enquiries without half board to info@apartments-garber.it. The page visited and any campaign parameters are also stored to attribute the enquiry.

We retain enquiries without a booking only for as long as needed to handle them and answer any follow-up questions. Bookings are also subject to statutory retention periods. Email and hosting providers may access the data needed for their work as processors.

If you tick the optional newsletter checkbox, we store your consent together with the time, text version and enquiry page so that we can email you offers and news. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@garber.it; this does not affect your enquiry.

Fonts, cookies and external links

For display, your browser loads the Josefin Sans and Lora fonts from Google Fonts servers. This sends technical connection data, in particular your IP address, to Google. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent design (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Further details are in Google's privacy notice.

Google Analytics 4 is loaded through Google Tag Manager only if you choose “Accept” in the consent dialog. We measure page views and interactions such as starting the form and successfully submitting an enquiry; names, email addresses and messages are not sent to Analytics. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage. You can change or withdraw it at any time via “Analytics settings” in the footer. Without consent, Analytics remains disabled. External websites open only when you click a link.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and object to processing, subject to the applicable legal conditions. To do so, contact info@garber.it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
